Simon and Marcy
The episode Simon and Marcy is probably one of the best examples of how great Adventure Time is. It's fun and playful, but tackles complex topics like the dangers of addictions and alzheimer's in ways that are easy to understand but at the same time not talking down to anyone. Children are smarter than most people give them credit for, and if you present them with complex ideas presented in a fun way they will likely surprise you with just how much they understand. And even if they don't understand 100% off the bat, it opens them up to seeing how these ideas should be tackled when they encounter this subject later in life.
